Our extracts are sourced from 100% fruiting or sclerotium bodies. Some companies willprovide only mycelium or myelinated grain in place of the fruiting body. Additionally, some mushroom extract products are simply ground up grain and mycelium whichsubstantially dilute the key ingredients. A fruiting body, known as a basidiomycete, is themushroom you typically see growing out of the ground. A Sclerotium body is a compact mass of hardened fungal mycelium. Sclerotia are composed of a dense shell with thick and dark cells and a core of thincolorless cells.
